Contact

If you are thinking about having a precious photo restored, then you can either pop it in the post to me, (suggestions for posting outlined below), or contact me by email or mail to discuss what effect you'd like to achieve, and therefore have an idea of cost. A generalised price guide and basic ideas for camera trickery can be found on my pages here and here).

Please, if you intend to go straight ahead and mail your photos to me, it may seem obvious to say this, but be sure to enclose a note of your name and address.

You can e-mail me at mailto:jayne@jaynesjersey.com

Posting and packaging advice

If a photo is important to you then it's important to me that it is treated with care.

Here, therefore, are some suggestions for safely packaging your precious photos for posting:

Place the photo between two strong pieces of stiff card to protect it. (The card should be a little bigger than the actual photo on all sides).

Tape the edges of the card on the sides to keep the photo snugly and safely in place. Place it together with details of your return address, clearly printed on a separate piece of paper, in a waterproof packet, and then into your envelope.

Seal and send to:

Jayne's Jersey Photo Restoration, Gorselands, La Rue de la Petite Lande, Trinity, Jersey JE3 5AE, Channel Islands, UK.

If at all possible, please avoid sending framed photos. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary to send the whole thing 'as is' rather than risk further damage to the photo. If this is the case, please take extra care with packaging using something like 'bubble wrap' to protect the actual frame and glass.

I recommend that you use 'Special Delivery' or other equivalent 'signed for' service when sending precious items through the mail.

I will always take great care with your photos and they will be returned using the appropriate postal service (as mentioned above) but unfortunately I cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in the post.
